The Motive is a new Welsh band from Cardiff & Newport with a clear passion for music and entertainment, voted "THE ONES TO WATCH IN 2012" by Bro Radio & Bring The Noise UK.

The band combines emotive lyrical hooks with haunting chord progressions. They have all the key factors in place to make an impact on fans far and wide.
Their music represents combination of alternative, pop, rock and punk filled with catchy guitar hooks and introspective lyrics, with lively and memorable arrangements, plus Glen's c...lear and confident delivery of each number 

Made up with two sets of brothers, Glenn and Craig Smith, Michael and Chris Robinson, and the newest addition to the family Seth Cutler 

Glenn and Michael met in college later becoming very close friends, eventually  forming the unit "The Motive".The Motive worked hard on their debut album ' IT'S NOT JUST A JOURNEY...' (OUT NOW) Recorded at Machine Rooms Studios, Cardiff,  with top producers who have worked alongside numerous big names including Manic Street Preachers and the late great Stuart Cable to name a few.The Motive have recently been invited to perform at the JAR MUSIC GROUP annual MUSIC INDUSTRY SHOWCASE at the O2 Academy Main Stage on March 25th 2012.
